Through Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Company Limited and Luxembourg Medicine Company Limited, Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Holdings Limited owns and operates two household brands of Chinese and Western pharmaceutical products – “Wai Yuen Tong” , “Madame Pearl’s” and "Pearl's", thus creating synergistic benefits in the sector.
Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Company Limited was acquired in 2001 by Wang On Group. In August 2002, it became a member of Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Holdings Limited. In 2003, Wang On Group incorporated Luxembourg Medicine Company Limited, which manufactures Madame Pearl’s Cough Syrup into Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Holdings Limited, creating synergistic benefits between the Chinese and Western medicine companies.
In 2016, the Company has invested approximately HK$600 million to construct its Good Manufacturing Practice (“GMP”) factory at Yuen Long Industrial Estate in Hong Kong, which has been constructed and operated in accordance with the standard of “The Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (“PIC/S”)”, a stringent manufacturing practice regulation with worldwide recognition. Strictest quality controls are imposed on Wai Yuen Tong’s products, benchmarking function, safety and convenience against the highest standards, promoting the millennia-old TCM and its products all over the world.
